Stratosphere Networks Honored as Silver Stevie Award® Winner in 2017 American Business Awards℠

Stevie winners will be presented with their awards on June 20 in New York

CHICAGO - Stratosphere Networks was named the winner of a Silver StevieĀ® Award in the Information Technology Department of the Year category in The 15th Annual American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20. Tickets are now on sale.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. The Stratosphere Networks IT department was nominated in the Information Technology category.

Stratosphere Networks - an IT managed service provider based in Chicago - received the award based on its accomplishments in 2016, which included a help desk customer satisfaction score of 95 percent, a client retention rate of 98 percent, and the creation of a Process Improvement Department to enhance client deliverables, among other achievements. The company also earned a number of accolades, including recognition as one of 20 Most Promising IT Services Companies by CIOReview, inclusion in Penton Technology's 9th annual MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, and a spot on The Channel Company's CRN Managed Service Provider 500 list. Additionally, the Stevie Award judges considered the Stratosphere Networks team's achievements in client service, such as producing $40,000 in one-day savings for a major Midwestern electrical contractor by minimizing downtime with a business continuity/backup solution.

Last year, Stratosphere Networks earned a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Information Technology Department of the Year category for its 2015 achievements, including client service, various accolades, and payment for employee training and certifications.

"We're honored to earn a Stevie Award again this year for our accomplishments in the realm of IT," said Steve Melchiorre, CEO of Stratosphere Networks. "Our team worked hard to deliver best-in-class services and solutions in 2016, and we aim to keep providing IT support that not only meets but exceeds our clients' needs going forward."

More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners.

"Each year the judges find the quality and variety of the nominations to be greater than the year before. The 2017 competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
