What if your lap top is stolen? Or you spill coffee on your computer? Additionally, if you need more space for data you can transfer files to the hard drive before deleting them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedule Software Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another helpful tip is to schedule security software updates. These can be time consuming, but if you don\u2019t regularly check your computer\u2019s security software for updates then you leave your system vulnerable to cyberattacks and malware. Set aside some time while watching Netflix or reading online to do the update.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Change Overused Passwords<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With all the cyberattacks and security breaches that have occurred with companies like Target and Home Depot, it\u2019s important to have strong passwords for all of your accounts. Also, make sure you use different passwords for each accounts, so in the case that one of them is jeopardized you won\u2019t have to worry about any other accounts being hacked into.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Re-read Privacy Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Social media is fun to have, however you have to be careful because privacy settings are always changing.
