Dallas and San Francisco have been added to the list of the dozen of cities that are applicable for the service. Customers in Phoenix, San Francisco and a handful of other cities will be able to place a purchase as late as noon and receive the package by 9 p.m. that night, a change from the previous policy of 9:30 a.m. orders for same-day delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Amazon is testing out its own delivery service to provide quicker shipping times. The e-commerce mogul will bypass UPS, FedEx and the USPS by delivering packages directly to the customers. Amazon will be testing out its new delivery service in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>Along with same-day deliveries, Amazon has also expanded its same-day grocery service to include Los Angeles and San Francisco. It&#8217;s been testing out this service for years in Seattle, and decided last year\u00a0to expand the service to include the two cities.<\/p>\n<p>As for Amazon Prime members, they can expect lower delivery fees, and online shoppers will be able to search for same-day delivery items more efficiently through new search filters. Prime members will be charged a flat fee of $5.99 for same-day delivery for up to 150 pounds of items.
