Decades ago, Steve Melchiorre and Kevin Rubin – Stratosphere’s co-founders and current CEO and CIO – worked as salespeople for a single brand. Building a 3,000-Bed Emergency Hospital’s Network in 2 Weeks

We brought in one of the global distributors (Avant Communications) in our arsenal and combined our internal top-notch engineering team with our partners’ to achieve one of the most stunning successes in our industry: Designing and implementing the hospital’s IT, telecom, and cybersecurity network in just two weeks. This occurred in the spring of 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 emergency.

Our accomplishment was noteworthy enough that Avant Founder and CEO Ian Kieninger highlighted it in his closing keynote at an Avant Special Forces event attended by over 5,000 of our peers. In a video shown onstage during the conference, Stratosphere Networks CEO Steve Melchiorre tells the tale of how we (including Steve, our CIO Kevin Rubin, and one of our senior trusted advisors) dropped everything in response to an urgent call on a Sunday and rallied our team and partners to turn McCormick Place into a 3,000+-bed field hospital for pandemic relief efforts.
