Stratosphere Networks was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Information Technology Department of the Year category in The 14th Annual American Business Awards today.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 20. Tickets are now on sale.
More than 3,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. The Stratosphere Networks IT department was nominated in the Information Technology category.
Stratosphere - which delivers Chicago IT support as well as IT managed services for businesses nationwide - received the award for its many achievements in 2015, including various accolades (Crain's Best Places to Work 2015, Penton Technology's eighth annual MSPmentor 501 Global Edition, and a 2015 Channel Partners 360° Business Value Award) and payment for employee training and certifications (e.g. ITIL v3 Foundation, CompTIA A+, and Comp TIA Network+, among others). The Stevie Award also recognizes Stratosphere's accomplishments last year in the realm of client service, such as identifying and fixing an issue with a brokerage and consulting firm CEO's computer within a day.
The judges commented that Stratosphere showed "solid client and infrastructure accomplishments."
"We're thrilled to receive a Stevie Award recognizing our performance and achievements as an IT managed service provider," said Kevin Rubin, president and chief operating officer of Stratosphere Networks. "Our team works hard to deliver the best possible solutions and support. We're committed to providing high-quality service to help our clients succeed."
More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners.
"The judges were extremely impressed with the quality of entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
