Evanston, IL - Stratosphere Networks, an Evanston-based IT managed service provider, made an appearance at the Fourth Annual Evanston Food Truck Festival. The team from Stratosphere Networks weren't just normal attendants though; they were there to pass out 50 free vouchers to the Sweet Ride Chicago truck.
The Evanston Food Truck Festival was held in Brummel Park on Tuesday, July 15 at 5:30 p.m., with a Starlight Concert starting at 7:30 p.m. The festival had a great turnout, with eight different food trucks and hundreds of attendants. The participating food trucks included Hummingbird Kitchen, 5411 Empanadas, Sweet Ride Chi, Tamale Spaceship, Taquero Fusion, Chicago Cupcake, Grill Chasers and Pierogi Wagon. A surprise addition to the event included a Stratosphere Networks superhero, passing out free vouchers to Sweet Ride Chi.
Stratosphere Networks wanted to give back to the community it's called home since 2003. As a launch to its pay-IT-forward campaign, Stratosphere Networks teamed up with Sweet Ride Chi to give away 50 free vouchers for their truck. Dressed as a Stratosphere Networks superhero, Caroline Gillard walked around the park to mingle with families and pass out the free $4 vouchers.
"We had a great time at this year's food truck festival," Gillard, Jr. Marketing Executive at Stratosphere Networks, said. "I loved dressing up like our superhero mascot and handing out Sweet Ride Chicago vouchers to families; I got some great reactions. Overall, we were just happy to be able to give a gift back to the Evanston community."
