CHICAGO - Stratosphere Networks was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Information Technology Department of the Year category in The 17th Annual American Business Awards® today.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.'s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 11. Tickets are now on sale.
More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. Stratosphere Networks was nominated in the Information Technology category.
Stratosphere Networks, a Chicago IT managed services provider, received the award based on various accomplishments in 2018, including an average help desk customer satisfaction score of 96.88 percent, the establishment of a formal cybersecurity business unit, and the launch of a managed security services provider offering. Last year, the company also saw its employee tenure hit a record high of seven years on average, while turnover was at an all-time low.
Stratosphere also received Stevie Awards in the Information Technology Department of the Year category in 2018 (Bronze), 2017 (Silver) and 2016 (Bronze).

More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners.
