CHICAGO - An account executive from Stratosphere Networks, a Chicago-based IT managed service provider, will speak about cybersecurity at an Evanston Women in Business (EWIB) luncheon on Thursday, April 26 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Skokie. Kendra Karczewski will speak about how to lower your cybercrime and data breach risk at the event, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

With new IT security threats emerging every day and data breaches on the rise, it's more important than ever for business leaders to take steps to safeguard sensitive data from cybercriminals. Stratosphere offers a range of IT security services and solutions - including vulnerability scans, penetration testing, next-gen managed firewalls, and more - to help businesses avoid becoming victims of cybercrime.

The EWIB Luncheon was created by the Evanston Chamber of Commerce to bring together women in and around Evanston with an interest in business. The gathering is held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. and creates an atmosphere that encourages networking and discussion of professional development topics.

Registration for the event will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, unless the event fills to capacity before that date. Attendees must reserve their space ahead of the event as the organizers aren't able to accommodate walk-ins. Admission is $20 for Evanston Chamber members and $30 for non-members.
