CHICAGO - Stratosphere Networks, an IT managed service provider based in Chicago, and Dell SecureWorks will host a lunch and learn event titled "Is prevention dead? Redefining success in today's cyber threat landscape" on Thursday, October 13. The educational luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Osteria Via Stato in downtown Chicago.
Even though data breaches have become increasingly prevalent, many companies still focus on prevention only. However, building walls around data with perimeter security solutions and monitoring for intruders hasn't worked that well for many organizations. During the lunch and learn, attendees will learn why prevention alone isn't enough.
"As cyber criminals find new ways to gain access to data, simple preventive techniques are no longer adequate," said Kevin Rubin, president and COO of Stratosphere Networks. "We're looking forward to helping business owners learn how to leverage the tools they need to disrupt and destroy evolving IT security threats."
The presentation will also cover the methodologies businesses should leverage in the new era of cybersecurity, today's threat actor types and their motives, the best strategies for detecting and eliminating threats, and the right tools and tactics needed to adequately protect an organization. Additionally, attendees will learn about today's threat actors, their motives, their goals, and their methods of operation.
Stratosphere Networks offers technology services, including data security solutions. Find out more and register for the luncheon here.
