Stratosphere Networks, a Chicago-based IT managed services provider, has been named as a finalist for Crain’s Best Places to Work 2017. The company is also a finalist for the list of 10 Best Places to Work for Minorities in Chicago.
Stratosphere was also included on the annual list last year: We were number four on the 2016 Best Places to Work for Women Under 35 list. Additionally, we were named number five on the 2015 Best Workplaces for Millennials list.
The Crain’s Best Places to Work list has been expanded this year to include 25 companies, while in previous years it listed 10. Crain’s has also chosen to focus this year on businesses that “boast significant numbers of happy employees who self-identify as members of a minority group.” The winners for Best Places to Work and Best Places to Work for Minorities in Chicago will be announced on April 6.
The annual list from Crain’s is based on surveys of company representatives and employees covering factors such as benefits, pay, promotions, health care, vacation time, management, and career development. According to Crain’s, the companies it recognizes as the best each year “not only offer the top benefits and compensation packages but also get rave staff reviews on everything from sponsored training to free snacks.”
