New Features

    • SharePoint average time spent report
      • What’s happening: Microsoft is introducing a new report on average time spent per user on the SharePoint site usage page.
      • Rollout start: Mid-June 2020
      • Rollout finish: Mid-July 2020
    • SharePoint hubs analytics
      • What’s happening: Microsoft will soon add new reports containing cumulative usage analytics for SharePoint hubs on the site usage page.
      • Rollout start: Late June 2020
      • Rollout finish: End of July 2020
    • Outlook for Mac Actionable Messages support
      • What’s happening: Microsoft Outlook for Mac is adding support for Actionable Messages.
      • Rollout date: Outlook for Mac version 16.37 will be available in mid-June 2020.
    • SharePoint default page templates
      • What’s happening: Microsoft is introducing default page templates, which let site owners designate a default template for editors creating pages and news.
      • Rollout start: Mid-June 2020 for Targeted Release customers; late June 2020 for Standard Release customers
      • Rollout finish: Mid-July 2020 for all customers
    • Microsoft To Do list sharing
      • What’s happening: To Do will soon support the sharing of lists between work and personal accounts. End users within your organization will gain the capability to view, join, modify and add data to lists associated with personal accounts.
      • Rollout start: Mid-June 2020 for Targeted Release customers
      • Rollout finish: Mid-July 2020 for all customers
    • New Request/Release workflow for messages quarantined by Exchange Online Protection
      • What’s happening: Microsoft has announced plans to implement a new quarantine policy that will give tenant admins the ability to configure access to quarantined messages. Additionally, end users will be able to request a message’s release.
      • Rollout start: Mid-July 2020
      • Rollout finish: End of July 2020

    • Microsoft Search bookmarks improvements
      • What’s happening: Microsoft is implementing improvements to Microsoft Search bookmarks administration.

    • Updates available for Microsoft 365 Apps
      • What’s happening: Microsoft has made updates to Microsoft 365 Apps available on all channels.
      • Rollout date: June 9, 2020

Announcements

    • Paused rollout for self-service purchase user request workflow feature
      • What’s happening: Based on customer feedback, Microsoft is no longer moving forward with the previously announced rollout of a self-service purchase user request workflow feature. The supplier will announce a new rollout plan when they’re ready to move forward.
    • Intune support for iOS 12 and up, macOS 10.13 and up
      • What’s happening: Intune enrollment and the Company Portal will support iOS 12 and up as well as macOS 10.13 and up starting in September when Apple is expected to release iOS 14 and macOS 10.16.
    • Public preview of Language & Region settings in Azure Active Directory (AD)
      • What’s happening: End users will soon have the ability to access their Language & Region settings in Azure AD My Account. This feature is currently in public preview.
